In March we decided to continue the Banquet Run through the summer months, although one of two people told us that we would have only a few people come for food as many people are more transient during the summer months, and often new people to the city move on to the next place before they discover the resources (in this case the Banquet Run), but contrary to all this, the Lord has continued to bring plenty of people to us, some days numbers have been as high as 24 with the average being about 16.
We never cease to be amazed at how grateful people are, and continue to treat us like old friends. Many people continue to ask us if they can come to church with us, and although often times they don’t turn up, we know the Lord is on their case. As we meet at the Poultry Cross, the Holy Spirit comes and brings a peace, and a joy, despite all the heavy burdens and baggage that the lads and lasses bring with them. We have now been running the Banquet Table since the end of last September and we have never had any trouble or fighting amongst the people who come to us, even though many who come are often under the influence of drink or drugs, but Praise God, He can still reach down and touch people with His love, which knows no measure, and is unstoppable when it comes to wooing people to Him.
We praise God for the finance that the Lord is bringing into the Charity, which is always just enough, He is always faithful. We pray that the Lord will release more finances so that we can increase our serving and giving to those who need to be fed, and encouraged, and enlarge the work that the Lord has called us to.

One couple who recently celebrated their 30th Wedding anniversary and joint 50th birthdays, with a party for their friends and relatives, asked their guests, not to buy presents, but instead donate the money to one of two charities, one being Morning Star Salisbury. Initiatives like this are great, and really help with funding the ministry to some of the most needy people in our community.
