Steve’s miracle and a weddingMiracle0202

A few weeks ago a lass whom we will call Jo, met us in town and told us that her boyfriend whom we will call Steve had been rushed into hospital over the weekend. Steve is 23 years old and has had a genetic heart problem since birth. On the Monday evening, having seen Jo that morning, we went to the hospital to see Steve the same day. He looked really ill, very blue and was using an oxygen mask.

The doctors had told Jo, that if she hadn't have got Steve to the hospital that night he would of passed away in his sleep. They gave him only 2-5 days to live. They said he wasn't strong enough to make a journey to Harefield hospital where heart transplants are carried out, let alone have an operation.

We asked Steve if we could pray for healing for him, he said “yes please”, we laid hands on him and asked the Lord to heal him.  We asked Steve if he had ever given his life to the Lord, he said no, we asked if he would like to and he said “yes I would” after explaining about becoming a Christian, we prayed with him and he asked the Lord to come into his life and change him.   We have been up to visit him most mornings and each morning, we ask if we can pray for him and he always says “yes please”.    On the Tuesday we went to see Steve he looked so much better he wasn't on the oxygen and the blueness had nearly disappeared.  He was really chatty and quite lively compared to Monday evening.

He looked fantastic

On the Saturday morning Steve looked fantastic and had started to gain a little weight. He told us that Jo and himself had decided to get married the following day at the hospital, and would we like to come. Of course we said yes. It was a lovely day, with not a dry eye in the place.

The following morning  we went up to see Steve, Jo was with him, after chatting for a while, we asked Jo if she had ever asked the Lord into her life she said no, we told her about becoming a Christian, Jo said she would like to give her heart to the Lord, so we all sat on Steve’s bed and prayed together.
What has happened to you?
One day, about a week later we were with Steve when the doctors came round, they were amazed at his progress. The doctor said to Steve, “what has happened to you, you are doing so well, what has changed? “ Dave said “we have been praying for him every morning”, Steve said yes "its the prayers".  Praise God

Thank God that Steve has a new spiritual heart. We continue to believe that the Lord will give him a new physical heart too.
