Christmas presents
As Christmas approaches it’s time to start thinking about buying gifts and cards. Here at Morning Star we’ve been thinking of more worthwhile ways in which to spend your money!
If you’re fed up with sending friends and loved ones gifts they don’t really need, why not choose a gift with a difference. Your gift will go towards changing the lives of vulnerable people and it can be purchased quickly and easily online or by post.. These are perfect presents for the person who has everything whilst benefiting people who have nothing.
Please choose from the following items and let us know who the gift is for. We will send you a card so that you can forward it to your friend or loved one showing the item you have bought (but not the amount you have paid).
£5 will buy essential toileteries for a homeless person
£10 will buy 8 meals for a homeless person
£20 will buy a rucksack to carry personal belongings
£30 will buy a nice warm sleeping bag or pair of boots

Once we have received sufficient funds to meet the demand for some items, we will use your money to purchase more meals for homeless people.
Christmas Cards
Britons will post around 750 million Christmas cards to family and friends this year, according to Royal Mail. With first class stamps costing 46p and second class 36p, plus the cost of the card in the first place, this is going to cost a huge amount of money.
You may like to think about cutting down on the number of Christmas cards you send this year and donate the money to Morning Star instead. This will greatly help the Charity (and benefit the environment too!) Let your friends know by email, or phone, that this year you will be donating to our Charity instead of sending them a card.
